My dad came down for my June 11 birthday this past weekend. We had a great time. Cleo and he made me this fabulous chocolate cake. We had dinner at Cafe Sunflower, my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.

My dad is coming in tomorrow for my birthday weekend. I cannot believe I will be turning 41 on June 11. I realize age is just a number but I wish the number was not so high. Not sure what the weekend holds but I am sure there it will involve bubble blowing, sidewalk chalk drawing, Gogurt eating, and wading in the kiddie pool on our deck.

Last night, we made angel hair pasta with an alioli sauce and basil from our urban garden. Cleo picked it. The basil we picked is much more pungent than the sprigs we buy at the market. Cleo was very excited to pick it and did it expertly. She even helped me tear it apart and mix it into the pasta.

We celebrated Mother's Day this year by going to the Atlanta Zoo. It was so much fun to see the animals, I especially loved seeing the pandas.

Cleo loved seeing all of the animals. Sidney liked seeing the elephants. Right now he loves hippos but we didn't see any of them.
