Halloween 2012 & Student of the Month

We had a fantastic Halloween.  Cleo dressed up as Spider Girl. Sidney dressed as the Incredible Hulk. Roger dressed up as Thor. I dressed up as Wonder Woman.

My dad dressed up as ketchup – my costume from last year.

Roger and my dad attended the Kids R Kids Halloween parade.

My dad arrived in Atlanta on October 21.  He spent the weekend with Christian and Cybele in Delaware. Instead of heading back to NYC, my dad had his NYC flight switched so he could fly from Philadelphia.  He stayed with us until Nov. 5.  I took off Nov. 1 and 2 as vacation days.  It was nice and relaxing. I beat him in Scrabble!  Ahnya could not make the trip because of Hurricane Sandy.  She got a credit with Delta and will come another time in the near future.

On Nov. 2, Roger, my dad and I attended a ceremony at Cleo's school. Cleo was named student of the month for her class for September.  Each class has a student of the month every month. Each month a different principal is exemplified; September was principled.  She's eligible to be student of the month in future months.

This past weekend, we took Cleo and Sidney to their last acting and art classes.  Cleo’s class did a little performance of what they had worked on for the past 2 months.

Sidney and Roger worked on a collage.

After the art class, we went home for lunch and naps.  I went to the gym. Roger and I later went to our friend Keisha’s 40th birthday bash at the Havana Club. Keisha had her party in a private room. It was a really fun party. I had a cosmopolitan and a watermelon martini. The drinks were not strong.  The party was from 8pm-12am. We left at midnight.  Ms. Angie babysat for Cleo and Sidney.  Ms. Angie braided Cleo’s hair, it looks great!  I still have to take a picture of it.

On Saturday, I borrowed from the library Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” movie. I had seen parts of it before. It’s so good. I can see why all the kids go crazy for him.  Cleo’s pal Quintin loves the movie and Justin Bieber.  Never Say Never was the Saturday night movie for Cleo and Sidney.

Sunday, we went food shopping. While the kids napped, I went to Five Below. It’s a store that sells items for $5 and under.  I got a bunch of games and other items for Cleo and Sidney for Christmas - they have to have something to open.  They don’t really need any more toys but I got some games and some jewelry making kits. Cleo has no interest in dolls so we are going to box them up, put them in the basement, and take them out when she enjoys playing with them.  Sidney loves the Hulk and sharks. I got him a Hulk toothbrush with a Hulk figurine dangling from it.

Sunday, Nov. 4, I re-joined Weight Watchers and started going to the gym again. My jeans are tight on me to the point of being uncomfortable.  I fear I may have to buy a new pair while I work on losing weight.  I would not get an expensive pair.

This weekend, Cleo, Roger and I worked on her "Needs" and "Wants" poster. It's due on Nov. 16.

Vivian arrived in Atlanta last (Nov. 12) night. Vivian flies to NYC on Thursday.  Cleo and Sidney saw them this morning. They were both super excited to see her. Vivian is staying at a hotel the rest of her time here. She is here for work. I am having dinner with her on Wednesday and staying over with her at her hotel. Thursday, I am driving to Macon, GA for meetings.  Thursday, is Cleo's class' Thanksgiving luncheon.  Roger is going.  Friday, is Sidney's daycare's Thanksgiving luncheon; both Roger and I are attending.  Then we are heading home and getting ready for our flight to NYC.

We fly to NYC on Friday, November 16, 2012. We are in NYC until Nov. 24.  We are staying with my dad. I am going to see Breaking Dawn 2 with Ahnya and Vivian on Sunday, I cannot wait.

Vivian arrives tonight from Sarasota, FL. She celebrated her Nov. 11 birthday there with friends.

Cleo and Sidney are very excited for our trip to NYC. We plan on taking the kids to the M&M store in Times Square while we are in town.

Have a great week!
