Sidney's Fifth Birthday Party

On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, we celebrated Sidney's birthday party at our subdivision's club house.

Publix replicated the birthday party invitation.

The test tube has pop rocks in it.

Before the LabCoats Kids guys arrived, we played pin the tail on the donkey.

We danced a bit.

We greeted our guests warmly.

The little scientists got ready.

First up was witch's brew (fizzy fruit punch and dry ice).

Roger convincing Sidney to try it.

Next up was insta snow.

It was mushy but really looked like snow.

Then they made rainbows. It was milk, food coloring and a tab of dish soap.

They made lava lamps.  Oil, water, food coloring, and alka seltzer.

Lining up for the rocket ship experiment.

They put peppermint Mentos in the soda and it made the soda shoot up in the air.  Cleo did the honor of allowing the Mentos to drop into the soda.

Sidney making his wish while the kids sang Happy Birthday to him.

Me and my little guy. Since I was the party photographer, I forgot to ask people to take pics of me at the party.  I cannot believe he's 5.  It was a great party.
