I had to start this blog post off with a picture of my scrumptious dumpling niece, Estelle Moon. Is she squeezable or what?
Linda breezed through Atlanta July 16-18. She's helping someone with planning a wedding which will occur later this year. She took the Megabus up and she would not recommend anyone taking it in the future.
On July 17, we went to the Camp Cascade Talent Show. We posted videos on You Tube of Cleo and Sidney's performances.
On July 18, Sidney and I took Cleo to drybar in Buckhead to have her hair blown out straight.
Here is Sidney being a patient boy waiting for Cleo's hair to be done.
"Hello to my adoring fans!"
The finished product!
On July 19, Cleo started her "special day" off with a turquoise pancake, bacon, strawberries and orange-pineapple juice. July 19 marked 2 years since her heart surgery. We let her pick the day's activities for the 4 of us.
After breakfast, we saw a 11:15am showing of the Minions Movie.
The theater has been completely remodeled since the last time I was there. Each theater has its own number written vertically.
After the movie, we went to Barnes & Noble so that Cleo could get a book that the new Disney movie "The Descendants" is based on. While we were there, Sidney hunkered down to read a few Peppa Pig books. She's his new obsession. Peppa Pig is a British exported cartoon that is shown on Nickelodeon.
After Barnes & Noble, we headed to Maggiano's for steak and calamari. Yum!
We also did some back to school shopping over the weekend for school supplies and khaki pants. We also go some foam rollers so that we could maintain Cleo's blow out.
On July 21, Cleo and Sidney had their second golf lesson at the PGA Superstore.
Today at 3pm, we are dropping Cleo and Sidney off at Venus and Darryl Tookes' house for a big sleepover. Darryl is Quintin's older brother. Quintin is Quintin and Alexandria's dad. Their mom is Leslie. Quintin and Alexandria are attending the sleepover as are 2 other sets of twins and Venus' grandson, Blake. Venus' other grandson who is a teenager is also attending but I forgot his name. So, there will be 10 kids in total. Cleo and Sidney are really looking forward to it. Pick up is at noon on Sunday.
Roger and I are attending a birthday dinner at Pappadeaux (Louisiana food) for his cousin's boyfriend (Ike). His cousins Regina, Lisa, and Bubba and aunt Carolyn are coming up for it from Jacksonsville. Ike is Lisa's boyfriend.
Next week the kids will be attending Camp Daddy. He will take them putting and pitching at the PGA Superstore and maybe to see a movie. I am sure the kids and Roger will have a good time.
The kids' new school Kindezi Old Fourth Ward is hosting open houses next week on July 28 and 29. I have customs training that I scheduled before I knew the dates of the open house. So, after each open house, I need to drive to Macon, GA, where the training is taking place. C'est la vie! We get to meet the kids' teachers at the open houses. School starts on August 3rd.
Have a great week.
