Sidney's Pre-K Graduation, May 22

On May 22, 2014, at 6:30pm, we attended Sidney's graduation from pre-K.

Here he is walking to his seat.

A very proud Roger.

Sidney did a great job saying his valedictorian speech. You can view it on You Tube.

Cleo's Progression Ceremony After Party

After Cleo's progression ceremony (from 1st to 2nd grade) on May 19, we had a class party.  Here she is with her little girlfriends.

Cleo in front of her Paul Bunyan project. The face is made of beads that we glued on to the poster board.

Roger was unable to attend the ceremony and party because he had jury duty. I took lots of videos which are loaded onto You Tube.  He did not get selected for a jury. Yay!

Mother's Day 2014

Cleo brought home a beautifully decorated Mother's Day cake from school. It was a fundraiser through Publix.

After church, Roger, Cleo and Sidney gave me my gift.  It is a beautiful album filled with incredible pictures of the kids and me.  It's a wonderful keepsake.

We changed into casual clothes and headed to the zoo.  Moms get in free on Mother's Day.

The turtles eating their lunch.

Cleo feeding the giraffe.  She and Sidney each got to feed them two big leaves of lettuce.

Sidney feeding the giraffe. At first neither of the kids wanted to do it but I got on line because I wanted to do it. When they saw how gentle and relaxed the giraffes were, they changed their minds.

Comparing their hands to the size of an orangutan's.

There are lions on that big rock in the background but you can't really see them.

Taking a rest before hiking out of the zoo and to our car.  It was a great day at the zoo.

Jewelry Show

A month or so ago, we went to Debbie Siegel's jewelry show.  Debbie is one of Vivian's good friends who recently retired.  The show was in a nice hair salon in Atlanta.  It was near where we had Cleo's 5th birthday - at an art studio dedicated to children.

When Sidney met Debbie, he went right up to her and gave her a hug.
