Ahnya's Most Incredible and Memorable 40th Birthday

For her birthday cake, we got Ahnya an Old Fashioned Chocolate cake from Southern Sweets Bakery. It's unbelievably vegan and super awesome. Vivian, Ahnya and I love and we get it every time we go to Cafe Sunflower, which is where we normally go to celebrate Ahnya and my birthdays. It's closed on Sundays so we were unable to go this year. We could not go on Saturday because that was Cleo's sleepover party.

Birthday girl.

40th Birthday Strawberry Mimosas, y'all!

We celebrated Ahnya's birthday dinner at Vickery's. Ahnya's friend Erika joined us as she does for all of Ahnya's birthdays.  Erika lives in Atlanta.  Vickery's had a few vegan friendly entrees. It's Roger's favorite restaurant in Atlanta because of their allegedly awesome low country seafood grits.  They have an awesome spinach and tofu salad that I get.  We figured there would be something for everyone there. We went to Vickery's for New Year's Eve dinner with the kids. At 5:30pm. Ah, parenthood. Gone are the days of running the streets of NYC party hopping.

We had the same waiter on both occasions. He's super nice. Vickery's also had good steak that Cleo and Sidney both love.

Home to eat up the rest of the cake.

Ahnya getting some help from Cleo and Sidney blowing out the candles.

There are differences in our smiles in the two below pics which is why I included both.

Cleo blowing out a candle on her birthday on March 17.  Can all of you believe she's actually 7 now?

Look at that sweetie smile.

You will always be my little baby girl.  Happy birthday, Cleo.
